JNNURM.... Might sound familiar to many..... But this word is encountered by most people in Chennai even in the whole of India.... JNNURM is a word featured on almost all buses in TN and Chennai in particular.... JNNURM is the short form of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.... It is a Central Govt grant under which funds are provided for Urban Development.... MTC (Metropolitan Transport Corporation) has a deal with JnNurm for buying Deluxe and A/C buses......
